The designated old testament readings this week are from Proverbs. Many “everyday sayings” that we know, actually come from the book Proverbs in the Bible. Today’s reading included one I didn’t remember:

Better is a dinner of vegetables where love is than a fatted ox and hatred with it. (Proverbs 15:17)

Now that’s worth chewing on :)
